Sam Harwood, LCSW

Sam (she/her) is a trauma-trained Licensed Clinical Social Worker from Chicago, Illinois. She holds a Bachelor’s in Social Work from Northeastern Illinois University and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Denver, with a concentration in Health and Wellness.

With nearly 15 years of experience, Sam has worked in schools, homes, communities, hospitals, and inpatient behavioral health settings. She supports individuals and families through stress, anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, and the complexities of the human experience. Guided by social justice, she believes therapy can be a tool for personal and collective healing.

A lifelong learner, Sam loves getting curious about people, cultures, places, art, and the many ways humans make meaning of their lives. She uses evidence-based approaches and trauma-informed techniques, bringing compassion, gentleness, and humor to her work. Sam creates a safe, supportive, judgment-free space where clients can explore thoughts, feelings, goals, and challenges at their own pace.
